Core Projects
The research carried out by the UK-J partners focusses on various aspects of endocrine disruption, ranging from assessments of the effects of treatment processes on the endocrine activity in wastewaters, quantifying the potency of the various chemicals contained in wastwater discharges, defining the mechanisms of action of the endocrine disrupting chemicals of concern, and ecological impacts on wildlife. The research is divided into 4 core projects:

Core 1 - Investigations into Reduction of Oestrogenic Activity in Wastewater and Evaluation of Biological Significance
Core 2 - Evaluation of Endocrine Disrupting Potency of Chemicals using the Stickleback Model
Core 3 - Mechanisms of Testis-ova Induction in Fish
Core 4 - Development of Methods for Detecting and Assessing Ecological Impacts of Chemicals on Wild Amphibians
