This core will essentially focus on evaluating various endpoints spanning gene expression to behaviour as measures for chemical testing endpoints. Research here will include the development of molecular endpoints across both test and sentinels species. Work developed on behaviour as an endpoint in fish (and possibly more widely in other animals) will be supported through the work developed for sticklebacks and zebrafish. Also included will be the reporter assay systems. Key to the work in this core is to develop a more thorough understanding the value of the different endpoints/systems mentioned above are able to inform on reproductive and developmental health.
